DESIGN WIZARD SOFTWARE WORKSHOP

Introduction
As observing very high demand of designers in industry,IEEE SOCET SB had organized a
creative workshop on Design Wizard Softwares. This session was conducted by Vaishnavi &
Bansari who are students of Computer Department SOCET, having adept knowledge in
Software designing they imparted their knowledge to students.This event was organized for
two days dated 18th & 19th August, 2018.
Starting of Session
The session was completely hands on session, where students were participating with
enthusiasm. At the very beginning of Session various softwares and tools were suggested
by the instructors. The instructors also explained the prevailing opportunities of a software
designer in Industry.
Day 1:-
On the first day various topics were discussed amongst which they were Adobe Illustrator
through which Sketches,T-shirts & 3D cartoons can be designed. Adobe INDesign also a
very famous software for specialized designs for Newspapers and magazines.Nowadays
the softwares are capable of adding effects to any normal picture using Adobe AfterEffects
using which students were briefed about their various benefits like Rain effect, Snow Effect
,Reverse Effect, Text effect and Stick man video.At the end of the first day we also
conducted a one hour discussion of web designing with demonstration through which
students got their queries solved.
Day 2:-
On the second day of session, the instructors helped the students with their doubts &
query which helped in creating a bridge between them.The softwares helpful in
architectural and Civil designing were explained to the students; their importance in field of
structural design was also explained.3D Max software is used for House and Architectural
design.Animation tool such as Maya was also explained practically to the students so that
they get an overview of how an animation designing works in industry.
Conclusion
The session was ended with feedback and discussion round. Students were enlightened
about the creativity they could put into their own project. Overall the session gave students
an inspiration to work and come up with the creativity that would be helpful to the society
in future. It was extremely useful for first-year understudies and the session got
gratefulness from everybody. The session was intuitive and productive for the understudies
of Silver Oak Group of Institutes.
