Introduction:
To create awareness about Data Science and to fulfil the gap between demand and supply of Data Scientists, IEEE SOU SB in association with Deets Digital had organized a One-day Hands-on workshop on Data Science termed as “ACE of Data” as part of program ‘FlyTheNest’ for students who are interested and want to make their career in Data Science and want to see themselves as Data Scientists.
About the Speaker:
For this Hands-on Workshop we had presence of two prominent speakers. Ms. Archana Singh, a highly successful professional with over 15 years of varied experience and a strong foundation in computer science administration and teaching. She is currently employed for DeetsDigital as a Data Science Manager. Alongside, we had Mr. Rudra Bhatt, a data science and analytics expert with good business judgement and more than three years of relevant job experience in manufacturing, FMCG, healthcare, and e-commerce domains. He is currently employed for DeetsDigital as a Senior Data Analyst.

With a joyous outlook all the interested participants were gathered at 10:45 AM to begin the programme. The speakers, Ms. Archana Singh and Mr. Rudra Bhatt were warmly welcomed with a heartfelt bouquet. After a brief discussion on the motive of the event, the session commenced with a quick introduction of Data Analysis and Data Scientist. The speakers addressed questions at the beginning of their presentation and provided relevant answers. They went on to discuss several approaches and provide examples of their use in the actual world while also explaining the algorithm used in data analysis. A full hands-on session on "Microsoft Power BI" was given in the workshop. After a detailed explanation of data analytics, a short task regarding data analysis using Microsoft Power BI was given. The session
was informative and interesting for all the attendees. As to conclude the event, both the speakers were proffered a memento as a token of appreciation. Lastly, all the Participants and Volunteers were thanked for attending and making the event successful and memorable.
Conclusion:
As the motto of the event was to enlight students about the role of Data Scientist, the participants were given a brief overview on the same. It was a great learning experience offered by Ms. Archana Singh and Mr. Rudra Bhatt to the participants who actively enjoyed the Hands-on experience.
