Introduction:

Commending IEEE WIE DAY 2024, Silver Oak University IEEE Women In Engineering Student Branch Affinity Group orchestrated "Cloud Convergence: WIE Day Celebration". This event offered a heartfelt and memorable gathering, imparting valuable insights into Cloud Computing and serverless hosting, while also spotlighting Women in Engineering initiatives. It fostered learning and collaboration among attendees, emphasizing the importance of diversity and inclusion in advance technology fields.

The event commenced with a buzz of excitement as Ms. Janvi Bhagchandani introduced attendees to IEEE WIE, elucidating its vision to foster gender diversity and empowerment in engineering and technology. She outlined the benefits it offers to members, emphasizing opportunities for networking opportunities via seminars, summits, and access to prestigious scholarships such as Frances B. Hugle and Edith Hannigan McHale Scholarships, along with grants for travel and family care. Ms. Bhagchandani also highlighted recent IEEE WIE initiatives like IEEE WIE Manga and the IEEE WIE Climate Big Idea Pitch.

Moving forward, the session delved into fundamental aspects of cloud computing, encompassing service types such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS), alongside their practical applications. Participants also explored the deployment models, including Public, Private, and Hybrid, and their key benefits.

Following this, Mr. Amman Chopadiya provided attendees with invaluable insights into serverless hosting and microservices, discussing their pros and cons. The discourse covered technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, and Docker, illustrating their roles in modern application deployment strategies.

Mr. Chopadiya also shared personal anecdotes and motivations driving his exploration of serverless technology, underscoring its efficiency and scalability benefits as compelling factors. The session concluded with a detailed exposition and procedural breakdown of a real world project, offering participants a practical roadmap for embarking on their own cloud journeys.

The event culminated in a lively "Bingo" activity featuring quotes from prominent women leaders where the top three winners were awarded with exciting prizes. This activity not only added an element of enjoyment to the event but also reinforced the inspirational messages and values promoted by IEEE WIE. The event successfully combined technical knowledge with motivational insights, leaving attendees inspired and informed.
