Let’s Talk With The Googler

 

Introduction:

Silver Oak University IEEE Student Branch organized an event entitled “Let’s Talk with the Googler”, an engaging and informative session with Mr. Parth Modi which provided the participants with a unique opportunity to connect with an industry expert and gain valuable insights that will help them advance in their career.

About the Speaker:

To grace the event, we had the presence of Mr. Parth Modi, an experienced Software Engineer currently working with Google, San Jose, California, United States. has previously worked with Amazon & a dignified Alumni of SOCET.

The event began with a gathering of all enthusiastic participants, dignitaries, and members of IEEE SOU SB exhilarated by the event. The event commenced with welcoming Mr. Parth Modi with an appealing introductory speech and a heartfelt memento as a token of gratitude by Dr. Satvik Khara sir. After that, the speaker Mr. Parth Modi sir took the session further by asking several icebreakers which helped the participants to connect more with the speaker. He further talked about his journey. Additionally, he answered several doubts from the students and discussed the functioning of top companies like Google and Amazon. The explanation of the working of Multi-National companies and their environment and culture was also conveyed. Further, he also shared about his journey at Amazon and his experience of working with the market giants. There was an interactive Q&A session where the participants asked precise questions which were answered relevantly. The session included many essential points which incorporated techniques for interview preparation from the LeetCode Platform. Eventually, the event was concluded with a concluding speech and a fascinating group photo.

Conclusion:

The event provided participants an in-depth understanding of industrial requirements and aspects of Google and Amazon, as well as ways to bridge the gap between what companies expect and what students learn. It was a really instructive and participatory workshop for all attendees, providing them with detailed answers to their questions.
