Red Hat Day Celebration

 

Introduction:

To celebrate Red Hat Day, Red Hat Academy Silver Oak University in collaboration with Silver Oak University IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter organized an event that included different types of fun activities, Quizzes, and an expert talk about Red Hat.

About the Speaker:

To make this day special and interactive we had the presence of an expert, Mrs. Priti Shah, administrator at Electromech Corporation. Having great experience in the domain of AWS. Alongside that, we had the presence of Ms. Krishna Patadiya, an alumni of Silver Oak University and currently a very experienced Linux Trainer at Electromech Corporation. Along with that, she is also the Red Hat Mentor at Silver Oak University.

The event commenced with the welcoming of the guests Mrs. Priti Shah, administrator of Electromech Corporation, and Ms. Krishna Patadiya, Linux Trainer at Electromech Corporation, and Mentor at Red Hat Academy, Silver Oak University with an alluring welcoming speech and heartfelt bouquets by Dr. Jay Dave sir, Prof. Jenice Bhavsar ma’am and Prof. Monali Suthar ma’am respectively. The decorations by the organizing committee were substantial which was greatly appreciated. Ms. Krishna Patadiya commenced the session by briefing about Red Hat and how everyone can make maximum use of its certifications by manifesting the benefits. Some fun and networking activities were planned which included ‘Guess the Word’ that resembles the board game ‘Scribble’. When the activities started the
participants were very cheerful and curious to answer the displayed questions. The top 3 winners of this activity received goodies from Red Hat by Ms. Krishna Patadiya. The highlight of the day was proffering the certificates to the students who completed their certification in “DO101” and “Red Hat Certified System Administrator”.

With the same enthusiasm, the second activity was similar to the first activity as it had “Guess the Logo”. The enthusiasm of the participants didn't decrease after the first activity. There was something new in this game which was the buzzer round for all the participants where everyone had to press the buzzer at a definite time. After the decided rounds were over the participants were awarded the goodies from Red Hat and which were presented by Prof. Monali Suthar, assistant professor, at Silver Oak University. After these two activities were over, a quiz was organized that was mainly focusing on technical knowledge. After this quiz was over, the top 6 winners were awarded goodies from Red Hat, by Prof Vishwa Patel, Assistant Professor, Silver Oak University. Afterwards, the organizing committee and volunteers were proffered goodies from Prof. Jenice Bhavsar ma’am for their hearty contributions to make this event successful and finish in a very smooth manner.

Conclusion:

The event was a raging success because of the motivating efforts given by the volunteers. It was a remarkable event that brought students, educators, and industry experts together to celebrate the power of open-source technology and education. The Activities, Games and Quiz were enthralling that made all the participants indulge in the festivities. The participants gave positive feedback along with making some participants interested in registering for the
certification of Red Hat.
