Scaling on AWS for Millions of User

Introduction:

Silver Oak University IEEE Student Branch along with Silver Oak University AWS User Group organized an event entitled ‘Scaling on AWS for Millions of User’ for interested participants wanting to explore Auto-Scaling features provided by Amazon Web Services. Instructing the participants alongside providing Hands-on training on Auto-Scaling features was the fundamental objective of the event.

About the Speaker:

Mr. Nilesh Vaghela Sir is the founder of ElectroMech Corporation, an AWS Cloud and opensource focused company. He is also a trainer for Red Hat Linux Technologies and AWS Cloud Technologies. He has delivered a number of seminars, workshops, and talks around AWS awareness at various organizations, colleges, and universities.

With the congregation of enthused participants, the event began at 11:00 AM offering a warm welcome to the day’s spokesperson Mr. Nilesh Vaghela with a sublime greeting speech by the anchor and a bouquet by Dr. Satvik Khara sir as a token of gratitude. Commencing the session, Mr. Nilesh Vaghela provided basic introduction on AWS Services and encouraged the students to take interest in various services that are being provided as well as explained the history of
the organization. On a further note, Mr. Nilesh Vaghela began his presentation by defining the scaling services and moved forward to elaborate on the need for the same. Explaining about the basics of scaling services and the components used, he gave various real-life examples. Explanations about Load Balancers and its support in eliminating various complications occurring with scaling and dove into its detailed working. He told the enthusiastic students about the technology of auto scaling and instructed them on the ways they can be solved. The students went on to learn about many other agendas such as Containers, Lambda and the services offering those technologies like EKS, Far Gate,Kubernetes, Docker, etc. On the end note, Mr. Nilesh Vaghela gave a brief overview of Microservice Architecture, and the event was concluded with a QnA session in which student eagerly participated. The event concluded by Dr. Jay Dave Sir honouring Mr. Nilesh Vaghela Sir with a memento as a token of gratitude.

Conclusion:

It was an amazing opportunity for the students to understand the current technological revolutions. The event was appraised by all the participants considering the excellent delivery of topics by the speaker Mr. Nilesh Vaghela. It was a remarkable event that provided expertise on numerous latest trends and topics of AWS. Contemplating the overall response and reviews from participants it can be considered that the event was a triumph.
