Introduction:

Silver Oak University IEEE Women In Engineering Student Branch Affinity Group in association with AWS Cloud Clubs, Silver Oak University organized an insightful session titled "SHE 2.0: Strong, Happening, Empowered" to celebrate International Women's Day, aimed to motivate and empower more women in the field of engineering and technology, and guide them
through the pathway for successful careers in these fields.

The event began with a heartfelt welcome extended to all the esteemed guests and attendees on the special occasion of the women’s day celebration. Ms. Asha Mangtani led the inaugural session, sharing her experiences and inspiring young female students to confidently pursue career and character development. Emphasizing the importance of taking small steps towards achieving one's dreams, she recounted personal anecdotes of overcoming fear and seizing opportunities. Additionally, she provided a comprehensive overview of web application development for large communities, covering steps such as on-premises hosting, EC deployment, and management services. Using real-life examples, she elucidated cloud computing fundamentals, highlighting benefits such as cost reduction and service diversity.

Simplifying cloud computing to its essentials, she outlined key points like elastic capacity and pay-as-you-go models. Explaining workload types and their pros and cons, she stressed the significance of migration and modernization in leveraging cloud computing effectively. Furthermore, Ms. Mangtani discussed the importance of SWOT analysis in career planning and elucidated various cloud service models. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, offering students guidance across diverse fields. Following this, the audience engaged in an interactive activity led by volunteers, involving an engaging quiz session that featured questions about prominent female figures worldwide. The objective of this activity was to raise awareness about the achievements of women in both technical and non-technical fields, and to encourage and empower female students in the audience to progress in their careers.

Led by Ms. Omshree Butani, the second session aimed to foster inclusivity within the AWS community while providing participants with insights into various programs beneficial for their career development and skill enhancement. Ms. Butani elaborated on programs like AWS Educate, AWS Skill Builder, Exam Prep Hubs, AWS Twitch, and AWS Workshops, outlining their advantages for young students. She addressed participant queries related to AWS, ensuring clarity and understanding. She also highlighted the benefits of attending AWS Club Ahmedabad meetups, emphasizing networking opportunities and community engagement.

Moving forward Mrs. Dimple Vaghela, focused on encouraging students to consider joining AWS to enhance their skill sets and career prospects. Mrs. Vaghela particularly motivated female students to pursue their goals, break stereotypes, and capitalize on available opportunities. Afterwards, Prof. Monali Suthar proceeded by felicitating the speakers, Mrs. Dimple Vaghela and Ms. Asha Mangtani, acknowledging their valuable contributions. This was followed by a gracious felicitation by Prof. Mayuresh Kulkarni, honoring Ms. Omshree Butani for her presence, marking the occasion as truly significant.

The session concluded with a Q&A session addressing participants' doubts, and attendees were recognized and motivated with AWS merchandise for their active participation and enthusiasm, followed by the discourse of a special video message by female AWS experts around the world, sharing their experience of inclusivity in the AWS community.

Conclusion:

The event delivered valuable insights into AWS services, notably enhancing confidence and enthusiasm among female participants. The session concluded with the distribution of prizes and the formal announcement of new Cloud Captains for AWS Cloud Clubs at SOU, accompanied by congratulatory remarks. The expertise of the speakers played a pivotal role in the event's success, leaving attendees equipped with a profound understanding of cloud technology and the myriad opportunities afforded by AWS in the digital landscape.
