Faith in the words …

Pride in our souls …

Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at Silver Oak College of Engineering and Technology, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The ceremony started at 9 AM in the college open ground with the large crowd of staff, students, and our honorable guests.

Major Nitin Joshi – known as the Army’s Iron Man, Mr. Chiranjiv Patel – Regional Director (South Asia) at Entrepreneurs’ Organization, Mr. Niljouy Julius Christian – the chief guest, Mr. Janak Khandwala – Executive Director of Silver Oak Group of Institutes, Mrs. Sweta Khandwala – Director of Silver Oak Group of Institutes, Mr. Saurin Shah – Principal of Silver Oak College of Engineering and Technology, Mr. Siddharth Jadeja – Principal of Aditya Silver Oak Institute of Technology were escorted by the parade team.

After this our Principal welcomed the gathering and introduced the Guests.

To Commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief Guest unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom. The robotics team of our college showered the flowers on the flag with the help of the self-made drone.

After hoisting the flag our director Sir delivered the short speech on the importance of independence to us.

Major Nitin Joshi briefed us about how he started his journey in Indian Army. He also told us about the problems he faced during the initial level when he joined the army as well as how he became “Iron Man” of Indian Army.

Mr. Chiranjiv Patel made us realized that how precious this independence is to us with his enthusiastic and sharp worded speech.

Mr. Niljouy Julius Christian briefed us about the activities done by Indian Army and also told about how a single can contribute themselves to Indian Army.

After this students of SOCET performed the various activities they prepared for Independence day. The performances was started with a patriotic dance. The Dance was then followed by the patriotic song Vande Matram.

The Programme was concluded by the Vote of thanks by Student Committee. At the end, sweets were distributed to the students. As a token of love and concern.

Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace, and unity in diversity.
