After the grand inauguration of our IEEE SOCET SB, we conducted expert lecture of Dr. Manik Lal Das on Certificateless Cryptography and its Application. Student as well as faculties attended the session.
The session started by sir asking us few questions regarding what browser and social sites we all use and then as the session progressed, sir discussed about the Cryptosystem which mainly includes key system, encryption and decryption.
After some brief description about the cryptosystem, Sir told us about Certificate based Cryptography which includes 11-12 authorities to certify. Identity-based cryptography aims at letting the user’s public key be its identity (e.g., the email address) and so to remove the requirement for certificates. Sir told us how Certificateless Cryptography prevents the key escrow problem.
After the session, our Prof. Ravi Raval gave Vote of Thanks to the dignitaries as well as the students. The first event of our IEEE SOCET SB ended with a quality lecture by Dr. Manik Lal Das sir and event was concluded.
