Introduction:
Know Your PC is an event had been organized for 3rd sem and 5th sem Non IEEE members by IEEE SOCET SB on 27th Aug, 2019.The event was divided into 3 batches and each batch had a 30 students. The event was conducted by third semester students “Maharsh Patel” and “Malvik Chauhan” in order to acknowledge others in brief about Personal Computers that we use in daily life.Given the number of participants, The event provides knowledge about Computer Peripherals, BIOS Types, Open Source Softwares, System Preferences, Storage Types,OS installation and much more to basically make students conversant with their PC and its parts.
About Session:
This event was conducted with a view to that the students were unaware about the inner parts of the PC, so this event was arranged for to gain knowledge about the internal structure of the PC. The session started with a brief introduction to motherboard, further discussing about types of RAM and storage. Also use of clock multipliers for high frequency and faster speed, different types of sockets in the motherboard and its usage were introduced to students.
